Sock involvement

[edit]

This article has been heavily edited by the Yoodaba sockfarm and needs review and cleanup. The accounts involved are as follows:

The article currently contains very little negative content and focuses excessively on notable alumni and awards; given that e.g. the New York Times writes that A simple Google search finds Full Sail in the middle of the debate over proprietary schools. and But even after decades — there are about 50,000 Full Sail graduates out there — the university still lacks a marquee name. Most graduates have quieter careers., it seems like this might be undue. Yoodaba seems to have contributed to this; a cursory skim of the diffs suggests that they were mostly busy adding awards and notable alumni.

I am hence inclined to tag this article accordingly, but will give Inkian Jason the opportunity to comment first. Blablubbs|talk 19:52, 25 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Blablubbs: Hello! I've submitted requests to update the Wikipedia article on behalf of Full Sail University in the past (not since mid 2019), but all of mine were submitted openly and transparently (above and on archived talk pages). I've never submitted requests on behalf of Beutler Ink using other accounts, and I'm always willing to disclose my conflict of interest on talk pages and my profile page. I am not familiar with any of the accounts mentioned above, nor am I currently working with Full Sail University to propose any changes or updates to the entry. Please let me know if you have other questions about my work here.
Thanks! Inkian Jason (talk) 21:25, 25 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I commented this with WWB Too (here). It looks like Full Sail University hired this marketing agency operating multiple sockfarms (not Beutler Ink) some time around mid 2019. MarioGom (talk) 23:25, 25 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Tagged, thanks to both of you. Blablubbs|talk 12:27, 26 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Accreditation Criticism

[edit]

The college has been subject to criticism regarding transferability of credits, as credits from nationally accredited schools often do not transfer to regionally accredited schools.[72][73]

This sentence doesn't come from a WP:NPOV. One of the sources is a 404, and the other specifically states that the criticism regarding transferability of credits is "directed towards other for-profit schools", not Full Sail University itself. 24.51.41.10 (talk) 13:02, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The Time article says "Full Sail is still subject to the criticism currently directed toward other for-profit schools" which includes Full Sail and notes that Florida State won't accept them. The other reference is available via archive and I have restored it. Notfrompedro (talk) 13:13, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

2021 Awards for the University?

[edit]

Hello, former student here. I've seen a lot of articles with awards from the last year or so that mention Full Sail and I would love to see the Awards here updated. I'll do my best to make the updates myself. 24.208.72.142 (talk) 16:09, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet account spam editing the page

[edit]

The page has been edited extensively by a new user: User:Plasma188. This account was just created today and made 14 significant edits to this page. They did not leave accurate summaries for their edits. I'm curious as to how a brand new account found this page and why they decided to add a mass of negative content to it without proper sourcing. They then proceeded to edit their user page, and log off shortly after. (Please read WP:RS). I am inclined to revert things back to the way they were prior to these WP:SPAM edits. Please interject if you have an alternative opinion, or if you happen to agree. CiKing101 (talk) 13:03, 29 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
